The Friends of Belstead Brook Park (FoBBP) are a group of local volunteers that help look after the Park for the benefit of its users and local wildlife.  We work closely with the Greenways Countryside Project, Pinewood Parish Council and other partners interested in the Park. You can now follow us on our Facebook Page.

The next Work Party event will be on  Saturday 11th February between 10am and 1pm, meeting at the bottom of Cottingham Road, Ipswich. The plan is to cut back the patches of scrub which regularly encroach onto Belstead Meadow.  Please wear your old clothes, sturdy old boots and bring your personal gloves. All the necessary tools, spare gloves and equipment plus refreshments of tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Future planned practical conservation work events for 2017:

Saturday 11th March 10am – 1pm
Saturday 8th April 10am – 1pm
Saturday 13th May 10am – 1pm
Saturday 10th June 10am – 1pm

The very popular Spring Wood Day festival will be on Monday 1st May 2017.

The submitted plans for the proposed Belstead House/Belstead Meadows development were approved by Babergh District Council’s Planning Committee on 25th November.

If you’re interested in taking part, please join our mailing list so that you receive details of what we’ll be doing and where to meet.
