SOLAR POWERED ROUNDABOUT
This wonderful set of Victorian children's
Chair-o-Planes has been carefully restored and converted to run
on the sun's energy which is collected on-site using a large array
of solar panels.
Sustainable Living
This is the Sustainable Living exhibition tent,
which is full of information on Local Agenda 21, Sustainability,
Organic Gardening, Recycling, Green Transport and lots of other
green ideas for you to try out at home.
Scrapstore
This project is designed to help children appreciate the value of re-cycling and have fun making something out of waste materials at the same time. Our creative team are always on hand to help and advise although most of the ideas usually come from the kids themselves
Whales and Dolphins
Our life-size, inflatable Whales and Dolphins are a big attraction,
and draw attention to the displays inside the tent which help people
understand the problems that they, and many other marine animals,
face.
The Solar Fountain
The solar fountain is the centre piece of the Green Roadshow
and is a practical demonstration of solar power at its most useful.
Many people have never seen a full size solar panel in action and
are amazed at the power that they can produce.
Renewable Energy
Lots of fascinating models, full size displays and information covering
all aspects of renewable energy. Come and find out how you can power
your home using energy from the Wind and the Sun.
Recycling Point
The Green Roadshow has a 'zero tolerance' policy towards litter and recycles all waste within its arena - and, after the show is finished, we pop it in the electric car and take it to the nearest recycling centre.
